Kullu: Manali in Himachal Pradesh is experiencing heavy snowfall and meanwhile more than 500 tourists are stuck here. According to the information received, all the stranded tourists are stranded on the road between South Portal of Atal Tunnel and Solang Nalla of Manali. The team reached to save all of them till around 8 pm on Saturday and rescue work is still going on. At present, 'Yellow Alert' has been issued in Himachal Pradesh regarding the weather.

Talking about this, Sub Divisional Magistrate of Manali Raman Gharsangi said, 'Efforts are being made to restart traffic. The Rescue Team arrived in search at 8 pm on Saturday night. About 20 rescue vehicles have also been sent along with the rescue team to help the stranded people. Taxis and a 48-seater bus have also been sent to Kulang to take the rescued people to another place. Rescue work is still going on.

The Meteorological Department had issued a 'Yellow Alert' for Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday and predicted heavy snowfall here. Along with heavy snowfall on 5 January, rain is also expected from 3 to 5 January in the low-lying areas of Himachal. Due to all these predictions, people are being told not to spend too much time here.
