New Delhi: Amit Jain, owner of Hotel Radisson Blu in Ghaziabad, has committed suicide in his flat in the Commonwealth Games Village in the capital. DCP Amrita said that at 12:58 pm in Mandawali police station of East Delhi district, a PCR call was received about hotelier Amit Jain's suicide by hanging himself in his house.

As soon as the information about this case was received, the Mandawali police station reached the spot and on questioning, it was found that Amit Jain had come to CWG village in the morning after breakfast from his house in Noida. Here he was shifting with his family. On Saturday, the entire family stayed in Noida, and then in the morning, he went to the Commonwealth Games Village alone in a car after dropping his brother Karan at his office in Ghaziabad. When his son Aditya reached his flat in the Commonwealth Games Village to collect the luggage with the driver, he found the father hanging from the fan.

The family members then took him to Max Patparganj, where doctors declared him brought dead. A case has been registered on the basis of statements of relatives and eyewitnesses. It is not yet known what caused the suicide. Police are taking further action in the case.
