New Delhi:  Everyone was curious about ISRO's Chandrayan 2. Similarly, former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram who was lodged in Tihar Jail also had his eyes on Chandrayaan-2. He remained anxious about it throughout the night and immediately took information about the mission from the employees in the morning. No one came to meet him on Saturday. Chidambaram, who was sent to Tihar Jail in judicial custody till Thursday night 19 September in the INX Media case, also woke up late on Saturday and did not attend the prayer.

Sources said that due to lack of TV in the cell, he was getting information in this regard from the jail staff. When the jail administration employee went to his cell on Saturday morning, he was the first to ask about Chandrayaan-2. After this, he expressed the desire to read the newspaper. He went to the barrack and watched television with other prisoners. He spent some time in the library. Prison officials said that cots are not given to anyone in the cell.

In such a situation, Chidambaram is also sleeping on the floor. He has not yet demanded a bed. According to the jail manual, food is being given to them. Officials said that the jail administration is keeping a close watch on Chidambaram. According to the rule, every prisoner in jail is counselled. Chidambaram's counselling will also be done in the next day or two. According to sources, Chidambaram had disappointment on his face on the first day, but now he is slowly getting comfortable.
