The Government of India has announced to give Padma Award to 141 people with Karan Johar, Kangana Ranaut. The names of the Padma awardees have been announced on the eve of Republic Day on Saturday evening. The list of winners includes seven Padma Vibhushan, 16 Padma Bhushan and 118 Padma Shri names. Expressing his happiness on this occasion, Karan Johar tweeted and wrote, 'It rarely happens when I don't understand what to say, but this is such an opportunity. I feel so many things at once. I am happy, thankful, and thankful that I get a chance to live my dream daily, create something and entertain people. I know if my father were here, he would be proud of me and I hope that he would be here to share with me at this moment. '

Kangana said in a conversation with the media, 'I am grateful to everyone and very happy. I want to thank my country for this award and I want to dedicate this honor to every woman who dares to dream. The names of every daughter, every mother and every woman's dream that will make the future of our country. Ekta Kapoor and Adnan Sami also expressed their happiness on social media.

Some other eminent people like former Union Minister Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, George Fernandes, Boxer Mary Kom, former Prime Minister of Mauritius Aneerud Jugnath will be awarded the Padma Award. The winners will be awarded the Padma Awards by the President in March or April 2020. This event will be held in Rashtrapati Bhavan, in which the President of India will felicitate the people, along with the families of the winners, veteran personalities from politics and other fields will also be a part of the event.
