Last year, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone won hearts of the audience with her performance with her performance in movie Padmaavat. Film went on to become one of the biggest grosser of 2018. Recently, Padmaavat clocked in one year. Deepika said that she feels a sense of pride, joy and happiness after doing this movie.

Bajirao Mastani actoress told Hindustan Times, "Padmaavat showcased the power, strength, courage and resilience of women. When I look back to this time last year, as an individual and artist, I feel a sense of pride, joy and happiness." He further added "The film surpassed all my previous highs professionally. Personally, it changed something in me forever," she added.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorual  magnum opus also starred Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.In the movie, while Deepika played queen Padmavati, Shahid portrayed her husband, king Ratan Singh and Ranveer, on the other hand, was seen as Alauddin Khalji.

On workfront, Deepika will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar's upcoming directorial Chaapak. Movie is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal and will be Deepika and Meghna's first ever collaboration.
