Afridi tweeted, "I have been found infected with the virus and I have quarantined myself at home. I need prayers. I pray to the God to protect the citizens of my country from this epidemic." Even before the news of Shehryar Afridi being infected, many leaders of the country were found infected with this virus. Before Afridi was infected, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and National Assembly Speaker Asad Kaiser were found to be Coronavirus positive. However, both people have now recovered from the disease.
