Islamabad: A 14-year-old girl, Dua Zehra Kazmi, has gone missing from Karachi in Pakistan since April 16, 2022. No trace of her has been found so far. Meanwhile, a mosque has turned down the plea of the family members of the missing girl for being a 'Shia' Muslim. A video of Dua's parents is going viral on social media. In the video, the child's mother is seen crying bitterly.

Dua's father has emotionally told the people of the country through a channel how he is yearning for her daughter. But the mosques had no mercy on them. "The day my daughter went missing, I went to mosques and tried to get her name announced. But the mosque said that we cannot announce this name. According to Pakistani media reports, the girl's parents have claimed that a local mosque refused to announce their daughter's name due to communal reasons. The girl's father claimed that when he sought help from the local mosque when Dua went missing and asked for her name to be announced, he refused, saying, "We can't announce this name because he belongs to the Shia community."

The father said that Dua had not been going to school for the past one and a half years. If his daughter is not found, his family will commit suicide in front of the Governor's House. Dua's mother says, "I want to see my baby girl alive. I'm a mother. I won't take her body as Zainab did. If she is brought back dead, I will place her body outside the Governor's House. It is being told that Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah has instructed the Karachi police chief to ensure the safe rape of the girl. However, the al-Falah police station has also failed to trace the 14-year-old girl who went missing from outside her home in Karachi's Golden Town area.

Karachi Additional IGP Ghulam Nabi Memon has said that police have formed three special teams in search of the girl. Every team is taking different ways to look for her. The SSP of the Anti-Violent Crime Cell is monitoring the entire case. Speaking to reporters, Memon said, "We have assured dua's family that we will bring back their daughter as soon as possible. Everyone on social media is praying for Zehra's well-being and her return.
