They already played each other twice a month in the 2022 Asia Cup, and they will all square off in Melbourne later this month when the 2022 T20 World Cup gets underway. India, captained by Rohit Sharma, will be looking to revenge their 10-wicket loss in the previous tournament. Additionally, Sanjay Bangar, a former India batting coach, made a significant statement contrasting the two teams prior to the highly anticipated matchup on October 23.

In an interview with Star Sports, Bangar claimed that although India has at least three to four match-winners in their lineup, Pakistan has been entirely dependent on its top-order batters, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.

"Team India have had some good games against Pakistan in the Asia Cup and what the Indian team would be weighing up is that it is a more complete team, which is a team that is not dependent on just one or two individuals," Bangar said while speaking on Star Sports show 'Cricket Live' during the 1st ODI match between India and South Africa on Thursday.

"I feel, in the batting department, it's clear that Pakistan is over-dependent on their top order like Babar and Rizwan. Whereas the Indian team is not actually dependent on a couple of players. There are four or five match winners and they are in their prime form, so, from a batting perspective I feel the Indian team is in a better position," he added.

Over the past few weeks, Pakistan's middle order has come under heavy fire, particularly after their 4-3 loss to England in a home series. India has already arrived in Australia for the competition, while Pakistan is now in New Zealand for a tri-series that will be their penultimate practice for the T20 World Cup.
