Lucknow: A video of claiming to have raised Pakistan zindabad slogans in Uttar Pradesh's Siddharthnagar district is fast going viral on social media. In this video, a crowd is seen shouting slogans. The video is said to be after the victory of Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate Syeda Khatoon from the Dumariaganj assembly seat. Siddharthnagar police have taken cognizance of the video and registered a case. Investigation of the case is going on.
Sharing the video on March 11 (Friday), the @OfficialTeamPs handle wrote, "After the victory of SP candidate Syeda Khatoon from Siddharthnagar Dumariyaganj seat, slogans of Pakistan Zindabad and Islam Zindabad were raised. Please check the video properly and take strict action against the anti-national elements. Another video is claimed to be from the same assembly. In the video, some people are seen wearing red caps of the SP. In this video, SP workers can be heard abusing the defeated BJP candidate Raghvendra Singh.
An FIR has been registered under sections 143 and 188 in the incident. According to the FIR, the incident took place at around 10.35 pm on the night of March 10 (Thursday). The police station was only half a kilometre away from where these slogans were raised. The complainant in the case is the police themselves. According to the complaint, "Some policemen reached the SP office in Dumariaganj after hearing the noise during patrolling. There he saw sp candidate Syeda Khatun shouting slogans along with around 200-250 of her supporters on the road. Attempts were made to remove them and later additional forces had to be called in. Their gathering was also illegal. '
Regarding the incident, SHO Dumariaganj said, "Around 200 to 250 people are being booked and investigated. Sp MLA Syeda Khatoon's name is also included in the case. According to the video, the police are identifying the slogan-shouters. The investigation of the case has been handed over to Sub-Inspector Suresh Yadav. In the Uttar Pradesh assembly election 2022, SP's Syeda Khatun has won from Dumariaganj assembly with 85098 (41.19%) votes. He defeated his nearest rival Raghvendra Pratap Singh of the BJP by 771 votes. Raghavendra got 84327 (40.82%) votes. In the year 2017, Raghvendra Singh won from here. But the question that arises from this whole development is that on winning a seat, sp workers are abusing the losing candidate as mother and openly shouting slogans of Pakistan Zindabad, what could have happened if the SP or Akhilesh government had been formed in the whole of UP? Today the police too.
The one who is talking about registering a case and investigating, could he also be able to register a case?
