According to reports, the Pakistani military called Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed "agreeable options " for political parties and a "face-saving agreement" for the govt and opposition to end the present political crisis.

The civil and military leaders who attended the meeting on Wednesday reportedly discussed "backdoor talks" for the next general elections. As per reports, the huddle discussed offering the administration and opposition choices that would be acceptable to both parties.

The conference also discussed Khan's remaining term and the opposition's concerns about the government's electoral changes. The meeting also addressed when the next general elections will be held and how long the interim administration will last.

According to sources, general elections would be called in the National Assembly as well as the four provincial assemblies, as part of a possible "face-saving compromise."

The meeting also stated that no proposal would be finalised until the opposition agreed to it, and that a "full package" would be presented to Parliament once both the government and the opposition had reached an agreement on the issues under discussion.
