Islamabad: Devastating floods continue to wreak havoc in Pakistan. The death toll in this disaster has crossed 1000. According to data released by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), more than 1000 people have died and 1527 people are said to be injured so far due to floods caused by torrential rains in different parts of the country.

At the same time, 7,19,558 cattle have also lost their lives due to floods. In the last 24 hours alone, 119 people have lost their lives, while 71 people have been injured. According to the report, 76 people died in Sindh province, 31 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 6 in Gingit-Baltina, 4 in Balochistan and 1 in PoK in the last 24 hours. According to NDMA, 3,451.5 km of roads have been damaged and 149 bridges have collapsed across Pakistan, and 170 shops have been destroyed. At the same time, more than 10 lakh houses have been completely or partially damaged.

At least 110 districts of Pakistan are reeling under floods, of which 72 districts have been declared disaster-hit. Rescue teams have rescued 51,275 people trapped in the floods and 4,98,442 people have been accommodated in relief camps.
