Islamabad: Pakistan has restored the bank account of five leaders of terrorist organization Jamaat-ud-Dawa / Lashkar-e-Taiba including terrorist Hafiz Saeed. The move has been taken by Pakistan after it received formal approval from the United Nations Sanctions Committee. This information has been given by Pakistan media.

Those whose bank accounts have been restored include terrorists Hafiz as well as Jamaat-ud-Dawa leaders Abdul Salam Bhutawi, Haji M Ashraf, Yahya Mujahid and Zafar Iqbal. However, they are all UNSC listed terrorists and are currently serving 1 to 5 years in jail in Lahore Jail in terrorist funding cases filed against them by the Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).

According to Pakistani media, a leader, citing his family's Gujar Basar, had appealed to the United Nations to allow him to use his bank accounts again. A leader of this terrorist organization, on the condition of anonymity, said that initially we did not want to file an appeal, but we were advised to file it because it was becoming difficult for our leaders to run their houses.
