Islamabad: The first reaction to the historic decision taken by the central government on Jammu and Kashmir on Monday has come to Pakistan. The Modi government's decision has shocked Pakistan.

According to news agency ANI, the removal of Section 370 by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry states that "As a party to this international dispute, Pakistan will take all necessary steps against these illegal decisions." Pakistan reiterates its commitment to Kashmir," he said.

A major announcement has been made by the central government in the Upper House on Monday over Jammu and Kashmir. Union Home Minister Amit Shah introduces Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill in the Upper House. It also moved a proposal to remove Section 370 from the state. In addition, Article 35A from the State has also been abolished.

Under the new law, all other clauses except one clause of section 370 shall not apply to the State. The government has removed Section 370 by issuing a gazette notification. President Ram Nath Kovind has approved the removal of Article 35A. The historic decision has brought a wave of joy to the people across the country including Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
