Colombo: ten players of Sri Lanka refused to go to Pakistan. But the Sri Lankan team will go on a tour of Pakistan as per their schedule and for this, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has announced the ODI and T20 team. One-day team captain Lahiru Thirimane for the tour of Pakistan, while the T20 team will be  commanded by Dasun Shanaka. On this tour, the Sri Lankan team has to play a three-match ODI and T20 series against Pakistan.

The tour will be played in the first T20 match, which will start from 27 September. The team selected for this tour of Pakistan looks very weak as 10 important players of the team refused to go there. Lahiru Thirimane, the captain of the ODI team has not been selected in the T20 team. In his place, Bhanuka Rajapaksha has been given a chance in this team. Avishka Fernando, Sameera Samaravikrama and Oshad Fernando have been included in the squad for the tour of Pakistan.

Many Sri Lankan players refused to go to Pakistan tour. It also included Lasith Malinga, captain of the T20 team and veteran bowler. Apart from this, the experienced all-rounder Angelo Mathews of the team also refused to go there. Apart from these two, Niroshan Dikwela, Kusal Perera, Dhananjaya de Silva, Tisara Perera, Akila Dhananjaya, Suranga Lakmal, Dinesh Chandimal and Dimuth Karunaratne had also decided not to go to Pakistan.
