Chandigarh: India and China are likely to take part in military exercises together soon amid the ongoing tension on the border and Jammu and Kashmir. Not only this but it is also being said that Pakistan can also come to India in October to participate in a security-related exercise. It is reported that India will participate in the Vostok 2022 military exercise to be held in Russia. Earlier, the three countries had also participated in the Japad exercise in Russia.

According to the report, international counter-terrorism exercises can be conducted in India around October under the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). There is a possibility that it can be held in Manesar, Haryana. During the weekly briefing, Pakistan Foreign Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar has told about the country's participation in the exercise. The special thing is that this year India is leading the SCO RATS i.e. Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure. Along with this, Pakistan, India, Russia and Central Asian Republics (CARs) are also part of the regional system.

The media report quoted sources as saying, 'China has confirmed that their troops will participate in the Vostok 2022 military exercise. A 75-member Indian contingent is also ready to join in and will leave for Vladivostok once the date is confirmed. The Vostok practice is likely to be held from August 30 to September 5, in which Belarus, Mongolia and Tajikistan will participate.'
