Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa of India's neighbouring country Pakistan has supported Jinnah's two-nation theory. Bajwa says that the two-nation theory of Pakistan's founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah is a more acceptable reality in today's times. This is not the first time that Pakistani leaders and army chief have made such a statement. Bajwa said, today the principle of two nations is proving more correct. This theory says that countries should be different on the basis of religion.
For your information, let us tell you that on the 143rd birth anniversary of Jinnah, Bajwa said, no matter how much we thank Jinnah for giving Pakistan, it will be less. All Pakistanis, including minorities, have come together in difficult times. Jinnah's vision will continue to inspire people to take Pakistan forward with principles of faith, unity and discipline.
Apart from this, the Government of Pakistan, on the other hand, filed a petition on Thursday in connection with the extension of service to Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and requested the Supreme Court to revise its decision. At the same time, the government has also requested for hearing of this matter behind closed doors. According to Pakistani News, in a revision petition filed through Attorney General Anwar Mansoor, the Government of Pakistan has requested the Supreme Court to hold a hearing from a larger bench, unilaterally taking the decision given earlier in the case.
