The radical Tehreek-e-Labbaik party has suffered badly in Pakistan. An anti-terrorist court has taken major action against this party. The court has sentenced the party's 87 workers to 55 years imprisonment, including Amir Hussain Rizvi, brother of TLP supremo Khadim Hussain Rizvi and nephew Mohammad Ali, for their involvement in violent protests in 2018.

According to Pakistani media, the culprits have also been fined Rs 12,925,000. Also, the court has also directed to seize the movable and immovable property of all the accused. Police arrested 87 extremist activists, including TLP chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi, his brother Amir Hussain Rizvi and nephew Mohammad Ali, on November 18 in 2018. All of them were detained on charges of creating unrest and spreading violence.

On Thursday, the court in Rawalpindi, the nearest city of Islamabad, ruled this late night after which the convicts were sent to Attock jail. Let us know that these members of the fundamentalist Tehreek-e-Labbaik had organized violent protests in various areas of Pakistan in the month of November 2018. These demonstrations were in protest against the decision to release Christian woman Asiya Biwi, who was jailed for eight years on a false charge of blasphemy. The protesters had damaged government properties and set fire to private vehicles.
