Islamabad: The Pakistan cricket team last came to Play a series in India in 2012-2013. During that time, many Pakistani cricketers came to India with their families. But, now it has been revealed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had sent the players along with their wives to India as spies. This disclosure has been made by former PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf himself. He has reported that during the 2012-2013 bilateral series, he suspected pakistani players of doing something wrong in India. So he had arranged for his wife to go with every player.

Let us know that on the previous tour of India, many Pakistani players were found having fun at parties after the match. With this in mind, Ashraf thought that if his wife was present with the player, they would not roam out till late at night. The decision was taken to monitor the Pakistani players. Ashraf feared that if something fell into the hands of the Indian media, it could tarnish the image of the PCB and Pakistan. Ashraf has also alleged that whenever the Pakistan team used to visit India, the Indian media used to try to tarnish the image of their players. This could have defamed the whole of Pakistan. In such a situation, in order to avoid the danger of any notoriety, he decided to send the wives of cricketers to India by making them spies.

In 2012-2013, the Pakistan team came to India to play 3 ODIs and two T20 matches. The T20 series ended in a draw, while the Pakistan team won the ODI series. Pakistani players like Mohammad Hafiz, Azhar Ali, Yunus Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Kamran Akmal, Umar Gul etc. came to India on this tour. Since that tour, neither the Pakistan team has ever toured India nor has Team India ever gone to Play Cricket in Pakistan. Now these two arch-rivals compete only in ICC tournaments.
