Srinagar: Separate attempts to infiltrate India from the International Border in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir were foiled by the Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday (November 22). A spokesperson of the Border Security Force (BSF) has informed that in the first incident a Pakistani infiltrator was killed, while in the second incident another infiltrator was arrested. According to the spokesperson, vigilant troops foiled infiltration bids in the Arnia sector of Jammu and the Ramgarh sector of Samba district on Monday morning.
As per reports, a BSF spokesperson has informed that army personnel saw a Pakistani intruder coming towards the border fence in the Arnia sector and fired upon him. He further said, 'The Pakistani intruder was asked to stop, but he did not agree and kept moving forward. That's why the soldiers had to fire on him, due to which he died.'
Army officials informed that in another incident, troops arrested a Pakistani infiltrator who crossed the international border in the Ramgarh sector and reached near the fence. He said that after opening the gate, he was brought near the fence on the Indian side. No suspicious material was recovered from him.
