Pakistan’s hockey future is at stake because of the actions on the border, the tension created on the border is clearly visible in the sports relation between these two countries.

The Junior Hockey World Cup are going to be held in Lucknow in December 2016, but the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has sought clearance from its government to send the hockey team.

PHF secretary Shahbaz Ahmed told the media that the junior hockey team would only travel to India if the government gives the green signal.

“Given the existing relations between the two countries we have asked the Pakistan Sports Board to get us clearance for the tournament,” he said.

He mentioned the concern of their team’s safety is their priority, so if the government allows, it will be fine by them.
