These protesters allege that Maharaja Surajmal is misrepresented in the film. In fact, in the film, Maharaja Surajmal is shown interacting with Maratha Peshwa Sadashiv Rao Bhau in Haryanvi and Rajasthani, while people believe that Maharaja Surajmal spoke purely Braj language. The descendant objected. He said that Kriti Sanon's dialogue discredits Mastani and Peshwa.
