New Delhi: In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been decided to adjourn the Rajya Sabha indefinitely on Wednesday, a week ahead of schedule. Today is the tenth day of the monsoon session of Parliament and it has been decided to postpone the monsoon session after the government has disposed of important legislative functions. Meanwhile, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said, "When a bill is being brought for the benefit of 50 crore labourers in the country, the opposition is absent from the house because they are away from the people. After 73 years of independence, the labourers are getting rights for which they have been waiting for a long time. These bills contain their pay, social and health security".

He kept his words openly in the Rajya Sabha. "Migrant labourers will get migration allowance to go home once a year," he said. The migrant labourers will be given by the owners. Before saying all this, he said, "The justice that the labourers were waiting for is now being found. The bill guarantees salary security, social security, health security: the Code of Livelihood, Health and Work, 2020 and the Code of Industrial Relations 2020 and the Social Security Code, 2020". The opposition parties had written to Rajya Sabha chairman M Venkaiah Naidu saying, "In the absence of the opposition, the labour bills should not be passed".

Now, talking about Ramdas Athawale, he said in the Rajya Sabha, "Prime Minister Modi has taken the burden of all the labourers on his own, so he loves the labourers of the country. Santosh Gangwar is a sober man, so he has got the department Labour. He has the courage to give justice to labours. So far, the Rajya Sabha has passed the Sub-Social Security, Health and Working Code, 2020 and the Code of Industrial Relations 2020 and the Social Security Code, and the financial contract bilateral netting Bill, 2020 has also been passed.
