National Medical Commission Bill introduced in Rajya Sabha, opposition members express objections

Members of the Opposition have expressed objection to the earlier notice of the new bill in the Lok Sabha. The Congress, the DMK and the AITC objected to the passage of the bill in a big way. On the other hand, the National Medical Commission Bill, 2019 has been introduced in the Rajya Sabha today after its passage from the Lok Sabha. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said, "My office will ensure that MPs have to give prior information on the coming bills at least one day in advance. I will also discuss with the members in the BAC in this regard."

On the other hand, the Congress party has released a three-line statement to its Rajya Sabha MPs. The Congress has ordered its MPs to remain in the House from 1st to 7th August till the House is adjourned from 11 AM. Besides, raising various issues, MPs from RJD, BJP and TMC have given zero hour notice in the Rajya Sabha.

According to media reports, the Congress Working Committee will meet after the Parliament session. Randeep Singh Surjewala of the Congress said that no agenda has been set for the meeting at present. RJD MP Manoj Jha, during the ongoing admission process at the University, has raised the issue of bypassing the principles of social justice, BJP MP GVL Narsimha Rao said, the issue of construction of a port at Ramayapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, BJP MP Harnath Singh Yadav It has raised the issue of alleged insults of Hindi and other languages in the UPSC examination. On the other hand, Trinamool Congress MP Sukhendu Shekhar Rai has given zero hour notice raising the issue of creating a conducive environment to help entrepreneurs.
