On Sunday, the agriculture bill was pre-eminently on the Rajya Sabha and was passed by good voting. TRS Rajya Sabha members have fought a stiff fight against the passage of controversial agricultural bills in the Upper House. TRS MPs joined hands with other opposition parties to protest in the Parliament premises for showing rejection of the bill, but the Centre has its way by passing bills through voice vote amid stir of opposition parties.

Let us share it for your information, trs parliamentary party leader K. Keshava Rao objected to the bill. While the Union Agriculture Minister has said that these bills are for new-term (revolutionary) agriculture, the TRS is against them, while slaming the Centre for bringing bills against the interests of farmers.

TRS parliamentary party leader K. Keshava Rao said, Every provision and sub-clause mentioned in the agricultural bills is against the interests of the farmers of this country. According to the Constitution agriculture is a state matter. If the Centre has any concern for the farmers, they should implement schemes like farmer bandhu, farmer insurance and power supply to farmers like Telangana state, which has turned agriculture into a profitable profession. The Centre should ensure minimum support price for farmers for their produce", they said, adding that the deputy chairman had come under the influence of the ruling BJP and passed the agricultural bills without allowing even a debate on the two resolutions placed in the House against these bills.
