John Abraham starrer Parmanu-The Story Of Pokhran was toset for release on December 8 this year. We used  ‘was’ because newest reports indicate that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali approached the actor to ask for him to push his film to a later date as the director wanted to release his magnum opus, Padmavati, around the first week of December. Besides, some portions of Parmanu were yet to be shot, which let the makers to push the film to a later date. Now, Parmanu is slated to release next year, though the exact date is yet to be finalized.

 Parmanu-The Story Of Pokhran Helmed by Abhishek Sharma, known for his film, Tere Bin Laden, starring Ali Zafar, Parmanu is produced by KriArj Entertainment and JA Entertainment. The film is based on the historical event when the Indian government carried out a series of underground nuclear tests in Pokhran, Rajasthan. After carrying out the tests, India the world’s sixth nuclear power after the United States of America, Soviet Union (now Russia), Britain, France and China to successfully test a nuclear bomb, or in short become a nuclear power. The film also stars Diana Penty and Boman Irani in lead roles.

Meanwhile, Padmavati’s first look is out and we are totally head over heels in love with Deepika’s majestic look. It will now release on December 1, this year. The film is based on the life of Rani Padmavati who was married to Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. She was known for her bravery and exceptional beauty. Apparently, she was so stunning that the cunning Delhi Sultunate ruler, Alauddin Khilji took a liking for her and wanted to marry her. This eventually led him to raid Raja Rawal Ratan Singh’s fort. However, she chose to jump into a burning pyre and give up her life than marry him. Given she chose to give up her life for honour , she came to be known as the brave warrior queen.
