On Tuesday, a Pakistani court rejected the transit bail plea of Manjur Pashtun, a prominent leader of the minority Pashtun community. A day after he was arrested for alleged treason, a Peshawar court rejected the bail plea of 27-year-old Manzoor and also issued an order to transfer him to another jail. The court has given this order due to the intensification of demonstrations for the immediate release of Manzoor, famous for criticizing the powerful army of the country.

On Tuesday, 30 activists including Pashtun Tehfuz Movement (PTM) leader and MP Mohsin Davar in Islamabad were detained by the police for demonstrating against the arrest of their organization's president Manzoor Pashtun. According to Akhtar Ali, SHO of Kohsar police station in Islamabad, all of them were detained from outside the National Press Club.

Ali has also said that the number of detained PTM workers could be much more than this, as many protesters have been kept in other police stations of the city. Politicians like Afrasiyab Khatak and Bushra Gauhar were also involved in this demonstration. The police also detained a journalist Khan Jeb, who was identified as Ali Wazir, another MP involved in the protest, but was later released after being identified.
