Patna: Former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan's Padma Bhushan award gave a happy look to both his brother Pashupati Paras and son Chirag Paswan. Both have expressed their gratitude to President Ram Nath Kovind and PM Modi for the same. Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party President and Union Food Processing Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras and MP Prince Raj have conveyed their best wishes to the President and PM, Modi on the posthumous award of Padma Bhushan to LJP founder Ram Vilas Paswan. Chirag has also said that he expresses his heartfelt gratitude to President Ram Nath Kovind and PM Narendra Modi on behalf of my family and party for this honour.

Pashupati Paras has said that Ram Vilas Paswan had dedicated his life in politics for more than 5 decades to the service of the poor, the exploited and the last rung stake in the society. By conferring the Padma Bhushan on him, the Central Government has also completed the task of honouring the poor, the exploited and the last rung stake in the society. He demanded from the Chief Minister of the state, Nitish Kumar, that a life-size statue of Ram Vilas Paswan should be installed in Hajipur and also asked the party's state office to declare the national memorial and his birthday as a holiday on July 5.

Chirag expressed his gratitude to the President and the Prime Minister: Ram Vilas Paswan, a founder of LJP and former Union Minister, has been posthumously awarded the Padma Bhushan for his social and public service. His MP son Chirag Paswan received the honour from the hands of President Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi on Tuesday. Ram Vilas Paswan's wife Reena Paswan and daughter Nisha Bharti attended Rashtrapati Bhavan on the occasion.
