From popular movies to digital web content, a lot of content is seen revolving around nostalgia these days. It is telling that these stories are centered around the lives of students in their teenage years. Through Patham Classile Pranayam, director Nitesh's Nair tries to capitalize on this apathy, but fails miserably. Vivek and Shambhu, a Class 10 student, are in love with Meera. Right now, Meera, a studious girl, has repeatedly told him that she is not interested in either. But when a woman's reluctance has disrupted the male ego!

The film has a cast that cannot pass even 15-year-olds on a good day. Even experienced artists often give us tired and lazy performances. Often 10th grade is known as a turning point in our educational system because the marks you score in your 10th grade largely determine your path. But Malayalam cinema has made a habit of celebrating the teenage roadside Romeo.

Blaming age or virulent hormones, but this is yet another story of the male species making stalking, layering, and unwanted sexual advances on women. As if this was not enough, there is sexual innocence in the name of mockery, victim-blaming, and what not! A non-existent story and a slow story with jokes that are just a double kill for the poor, the Patham Classile Pranayama makes for a tiring watch. How long will this fight take?
