Patna: In Patna, the capital of Bihar, many people are getting disturbed because of the pandemic. Troubled by the locked shops and lack of money due to lockdown and corona, a textile businessman committed suicide jumping from the roof. The incident happened at Arya Samaj Road in Jayaram Bazar in Khagaul police station area. The 50-year-old textile businessman committed suicide by jumping from the roof of his house in Arya Samaj Road.

The deceased has a business of wholesale cloth in the Indian market at Patna Sabzi Bagh. Due to the lockdown during the Corona period, retailers were reluctant to pay for their money, which led to depression. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Kumar Saraf, the younger son of late Raddhshyam Saraf. Manoj, along with his elder brother Ashok Saraf and Nandkishore Saraf, is said to have been on rent for years in a house in Arya Samaj Road. Manoj is not married.

His business conditions had deteriorated during the Corona period. Retailer shops had blocked their money and were now pretending to pay money, which they had been running under stress since. Late on Thursday night, everyone went to sleep on that day. On Friday morning, the family was briefed by neighbors about Manoj's death on the street in front of the house. As soon as the information was opened, everyone was surprised. The blood-stained body of Manoj was lying on the road. The brothers said that Manoj had about 28 lakh arrears at dozens of shops in the adjoining areas about which he was very upset. As soon as the case is reported, the police has been on the spot to investigate and take further action.
