The incident happened at Arya Samaj Road in Jayaram Bazar in Khagaul police station area. The 50-year-old textile businessman committed suicide by jumping from the roof of his house in Arya Samaj Road.

The deceased has a business of wholesale cloth in the Indian market at Patna Sabzi Bagh. Due to the lockdown during the Corona period, retailers were reluctant to pay for their money, which led to depression. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Kumar Saraf, the younger son of late Raddhshyam Saraf. Manoj, along with his elder brother Ashok Saraf and Nandkishore Saraf, is said to have been on rent for years in a house in Arya Samaj Road. Manoj is not married.
