Bhopal: The Congress Party has released the first list of candidates for the proposed by-elections in 27 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh. It has decided to field 15 leaders in the electoral fray. It is being told that most of the names of this list have been included only after the consent of the state Congress president and former CM and Kamal Nath. The party has given tickets to Premchand from Sanwar and Sunil Sharma from Gwalior.

Madhya Pradesh Congress has fixed a panel of two names on five seats. At the same time, suggestions of two to three names have come up on seven seats. It is being told that in many seats, due to caste equations, there are difficulties in determining the name. After the finalization of all the names, the list will be sent to the AICC, President of the State Congress Committee and former CM Kamal Nath. The names of the candidates are likely to be announced for the remaining seats soon.
