Payal Rohatgi was granted bail on Wednesday for posting objectionable posts on the Gandhi-Nehru family on social media and after leaving jail, Payal said, "Freedom in Rajasthan seems to be a challenge.She said, "There is some problem with the right of freedom of speech and expression in Rajasthan because my bail was first rejected on the basis on the fact that freedom of speech is also limited when it was first rejected."
He said that the statement of the sessions court said that "freedom of expression is limited". With this, she said in an interview that "I will continue my freedom of expression, because I am not in Saudi Arabia or Iran I live rather I live in India. I will do whatever is lawful in India. ''
With this, he further said, "I will try to avoid such a situation in the future due to which I have to go to jail because it was very difficult for my family and lawyer." I have the right to speak and express and I will not leave it. "To the video question, Payal said,"My video was released four months before today and it didn't break any riots, because of my statements and I shared information which was on public domain which was based on the book by the secretary of Jawaharlal Nehru M.O Mathai, if they had any problem with the thought process shared by me, they should have connected to the person and the family of M.O Mathai instead of trapping me in such a situation."
Let me tell you that on his arrest in the past, Payal wrote in a tweet- "I have been arrested by Rajasthan Police for sharing a video on Motilal Nehru. I made that video with information from Google. Freedom to speak is a joke. ”In this tweet, he tagged the official Twitter account of Rajasthan Police, PMO, Home Ministry, which you must have seen.
