New Delhi: A Cricket Technical Committee (CTC) will be established, and its creation was announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday. Misbah-ul-Haq will serve as the CTC's chairman. The committee will also include former captains Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez in addition to Misbah.

Additionally, a representative of the Cricket Management Committee's chairman and the head of the PCB's domestic cricket division are present.

For the past few days, rumors have abounded that Zaka Ashraf established the cricket committee, with Misbah serving as its chairman, and that the committee has already met.

However, Rashid Latif, another former captain who attended the preliminary meeting, made it clear that he has no affiliation with any PCB committee the day before the official announcement was made.

The Cricket Technical Committee will only make recommendations on cricket-related issues to the chairman, who will make the final decision on them, the board further confirmed.

According to the PCB, CTC will make recommendations on issues relating to cricket, such as plans for the development of umpires, referees, and curators, as well as general domestic structure, scheduling, playing conditions, the appointment of national selection committees and national team coaches, central and domestic contracts, and playing conditions.

The CTC will have the authority to invite additional cricket specialists, and it will regularly report to the chairman of the PCB Management Committee.

Ashraf said, “These three former captains possess great cricket knowledge and understand the demands of modern-day cricket.”

“Domestic cricket structure is a pillar of any cricketing nation. We have to make it fool-proof and its structure progressive."

"The presence of Misbah, Inzamam and Hafeez, three of Pakistan's most experienced and decorated cricketers who rose through the domestic ranks, will help us in providing our cricketers the best system to thrive so that we can produce the best cricketers,” he added.
