Pak Coach Tells PCB To Remove Sarfaraz Ahmed as captain

Mumbai: Pakistan cricket team head coach Mickey Arthur has demanded the removal of Pakistan Cricket Board captain Sarfraz Ahmed from captainship. The Cricket Committee of the Pak Cricket Board has assessed the performance of the Pakistan team for the past three years. The committee has also reviewed the World Cup played in England and Wales this year, in which the Pakistan team crashed out of the semi-finals. According to sources, Mickey Arthur has also offered a new name as a suggestion recommending the removal of captain Sarfraz Ahmed from the captaincy.

Mickey Arthur wants Shadab Khan to be captain of the Pakistan team for T20 and ODI to replace Sarfraz Ahmed. In addition, Babar Azam was awarded as the captain for the Test team. Mickey Arthur also apprised the board about captain Sarfraz Ahmed's shortcomings. At the meeting chaired by PCB Managing Director Wasim Khan, Mickey Arthur told the cricket committee, "I need to stay with the Pakistan team for two more years so that I can get a memorable result out of the team."

Mickey Arthur has been the coach of the Pakistan team since mid-2016. If you look at the achievements made by head coach Mickey Arthur to Pakistan, Pakistan won the ICC Champions Trophy after beating India in 2017. In addition, the Pakistan team has been number one in the ICC rankings for T20 International cricket for a long time. However, the team has not performed so well in ODIs and Tests.
