New Delhi: According to the National Meteorological Forecasting Centre of the India Meteorological Department, light rainfall is likely to occur in north-west, central and western parts of India for the next 5-6 days. Rajasthan: The arrival of monsoon in southwest in west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and rest of Punjab is expected to lead to development of favourable conditions.

Bihar, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and Meghalaya are also likely to receive widespread rainfall in the next 5 days. The impact of the relief that took place in the country's capital Delhi yesterday, that is, 3rd July, continues to have an impact today (Sunday). The winds have cooled down and the temperature has dropped. According to met department, delhi is likely to receive drizzle and moderate rainfall today (Sunday) i.e. The minimum temperature in Delhi is forecast to be 24 degree Celsius while most of the temperature is forecast to be 39 degree Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, the impact of heat wave has reduced in the plains and hilly areas of North India. The heat wave is unlikely to last for the next five days. The temperature is expected to drop by three to four degrees Celsius in the coming five days. According to the Met department, the western disturbances have brought relief from the heat wave in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and adjoining areas of western Uttar Pradesh. In Bihar, Jharkhand, North Chhattisgarh and Gangiya West Bengal, lightning accompanied by light to severe thunderstorm is also expected for the next 24 hours.
