England pacer Ollie Robinson, who played the first Test of his career against New Zealand at Lord's, has been suspended after an investigation into a biased tweet in 2012-13. Robinson has been banned for 8 matches. England pacer Ollie Robinson was banned last month for his old racial tweets.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has now confirmed this and issued a statement saying, "The Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) announced its decision in connection with the two blames on Robinson. Robinson has directed the ECB 3.3 and 3.4 violation charges were accepted. His tweets were between 2012 and 2014 when he was 18 and 20 years old. The tweets surfaced on 2nd June, 2021 when he was playing his first Test match for England."

The ECB heard on June 30 in which it was decided to ban him for eight matches. "After the June 30 hearing, the Commission decided to suspend Robinson for eight matches," the ECB said in the statement. He has already been out of three matches, the ECB said in a statement. He is now free to play cricket with immediate effect. In fact, Ollie Robinson could not play his second Test against New Zealand last month after the case.
