New Delhi: The Supreme Court is hearing the compensation given to the families of the deceased after the death due to corona infection in India. During the hearing of the case on Monday, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court that compensation for the death due to corona is being provided to the dependent family in all the states.
Tushar Mehta said that there is also a problem in giving compensation that doctors are giving fake certificates saying that the death due to other reasons was also due to corona. After hearing all the parties, Justice MR Shah expressed displeasure over the submission of a fake certificate for compensation. Justice MR Shah said that giving such fake certificates by some doctors may take away the opportunity of a genuine entitlement. He also hinted at ordering an independent inquiry into the matter of taking compensation on the basis of fake certificates.
At the same time, the top court has also asked all parties to give suggestions to curb the issue of fake certificates. During this, the Solicitor General requested the Supreme Court to direct the court to ensure that those who apply should be compensated. But let's fix a time for it. The process of such application and compensation did not go on continuously.
