New Delhi: The Supreme Court has reserved its decision in the matter of making fake certificates to get compensation for deaths caused by Corona. The Supreme Court has also directed to investigate 5 percent applications for compensation for death from Corona in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
Let us inform that the Central Government has filed a public interest petition in the Supreme Court in the matter of imposition of fake death certificate for compensation of death from Corona. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta has suggested that the limit for applying for compensation from Corona should be fixed at 4 weeks. Along with this, in the case of fake death certificates, the central government should conduct a sample survey of fake certificates with the help of the states, so that a solution can be reached in the matter. On this, Justice Shah said that the time of 4 weeks is not appropriate, at least 6 weeks should be given for the application. Justice Shah further said that in the case of fake certificates, sample survey should be done in two to three states.
Let us inform that last year the top court had directed the central government to give 50,000 as compensation to the family who lost their lives due to corona. The court had said that the money should be distributed within 30 days of applying to the family who lost their lives.
