Raipur: The Tribal Security Forum' has announced a big movement in Raipur on Sunday (April 16, 2023) to save the people of tribal society who are victims of religious conversion in Chhattisgarh. Through this movement, the Tribal Security Forum' will demand that the benefits of reservation not be given to the tribal members who convert. In fact, Christian missionaries and Islamic clerics have been converting the tribal class by giving them various kinds of inducements. Especially in many tribal-dominated areas of Chhattisgarh, conversions have taken place on a large scale. But, even after converting to Islam or Christianity, people claiming themselves to be tribal are taking other benefits, including reservation. The Tribal Security Forum is now agitating against this.

The 'Tribal Security Forum' says that thousands of tribal members will participate in this grand rally, which will be held in the capital Raipur on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Through this rally, the tribal class will raise the demand for de-listing the converted tribes. This means that people who have left their own religion and culture and accepted another religion should be thrown out of the tribal category. Not only this, but the Tribal Security Forum is also demanding constitutional amendments for this.

Ganesh Ram Bhagat, a person associated with the National Security Forum regarding this movement, says that a large number of conversions have taken place in Chhattisgarh. Even after conversion, people are illegally reaping the benefits of the tribal share. It also includes facilities like reservations. The tribal class wants that this injustice being done to crores of tribes in the country, along with Chhattisgarh, be stopped and those who convert be delisted.
