Ongole: Organized by farmer leaders of various organizations under United Kisan Morcha. The farmer leaders decided to campaign in support of Bharat Bandh in the Mandal Headquarters and important villages of the district by 20 September. Various unions and unions of farm laborers are getting people's support for the Bharat Bandh to be held on 27 September. Farmer leaders including Vadde Shobhanadeswara Rao, Chanduru Rangarao, Y Keshava Rao, Chanchu Seshaiya, Chittipati Venkateswaralu, D Venkateswaralu, K Uma Maheshwara Rao, Vallamareddy Rajagopal Reddy and others participated in the Rang Bhavan meeting on Wednesday.

He said that farmers, farm laborers and trade unions are leading the movement against amendments in three agriculture laws, labor law and electricity law, but the customers are suffering and they should also give their support. People's attention is being diverted from their basic problems. That's why people from other states take part in the movement. He mentioned that it is the people of Andhra Pradesh who should take part in the agitation against the government as farmers in the state are earning only Rs 6,990 per month on an average with a loan of Rs 2.45 lakh per person as per NABARD.

 He said that 92.7 per cent farmers in the state are in debt as per the same figures, and these prices reflect the worst condition of the people in the state. Everyone is affected. The leaders advised the people to understand the damage caused by the new laws and the farmers' fight and to join the protest in large numbers to make the Bharat Bandh a success.
