According to the latest update by petroleum marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, petrol in Delhi has reached Rs 108.99 per litre while diesel has reached Rs 97.72 per litre. With the daily hike in petrol and diesel prices by 35 paise per litre, prices are reaching new record levels.
The price of petrol has crossed Rs 121 per litre in Sriganganagar in Rajasthan. On the other hand, diesel costs more than Rs 112 per litre. Diesel has crossed centuries in more than a dozen regions. Diesel centuries have crossed 100 in many cities from Srinagar to Chennai. Petrol rates have set a new record in the Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh which borders Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. 1 litre of petrol in Balaghat is Rs 120.06. While diesel is Rs 109.32 per litre. People are worried about the rise in the prices of both petrol and diesel vehicle fuels.
