New Delhi: State-made oil marketing companies have not made any changes on Friday after two consecutive days of hike in petrol and diesel prices. In four major metros of the country, both fuels have increased by 50-50 paise per litre during Wednesday and Thursday. On Thursday, diesel was costlier by 24 to 26 paise and petrol by 22 to 25 paise per litre.

After five days of stabilization on Wednesday, both fuel prices had increased. Petrol prices in mumbai, the country's economic capital, have gone up by just two paise less than the record price of Rs 91.32 per litre. The record price of petrol was Rs 91.34 per litre on October 4, 2018. Petrol remained unchanged at Rs 84.70 and diesel at Rs 74.88 per litre in Delhi today. Petrol is priced at Rs 91.32 per litre and diesel at Rs 81.60 per litre in commercial city Mumbai.

Petrol is selling at Rs 86.15 and diesel at Rs 78.47 per litre in Kolkata, the capital of Bengal. In Chennai, petrol-diesel prices are Rs 87.40 and Rs 80.19 per litre respectively. Earlier, the oil companies had hiked the prices of both fuels on 6th and 07th of January after the prices remained stable for 29 days and the prices were stable for five days thereafter.
