China reported its first death from covid-19 after more than 8 months. A total of 115 new confirmed cases reported in the mainland.
The Chinese National Health Commission reported its first death from the covid-19. Over 22 million people are under lockdown in the north of the country and one province has declared an emergency as daily Covid-19 numbers climb after months of reporting only a handful of daily cases. This is double the number affected in January 2020 when China's central government locked down Wuhan.
Meanwhile, A team of WHO arrived in China on Thursday. However, China denied entry to two members of a WHO team investigating the origins of the novel coronavirus after both tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies.
