Brakes on continuously rising diesel prices, Know today's rate

New Delhi: On Monday, there has been a break on the increase in diesel prices for two consecutive days. The price of petrol remained stable for the 28th consecutive day. On the other hand, the price of crude oil was also softening in the international market. In the last two days, the price of diesel in the national capital Delhi has increased by 30 paise per liter.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the prices of diesel in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai have been reduced to Rs 81.94, Rs 77.04, Rs 80.11, and Rs 78.86 per liter respectively. Petrol prices in the four metros are also stable at Rs 80.43, Rs 82.10, Rs 87.19, and Rs 83.63 per liter respectively without any change on the 28th day. Diesel is being sold at Rs 1.51 a liter more expensive than petrol in the national capital Delhi.

The September futures contract for benchmark crude oil Brent crude on the International Futures Market Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) was trading at $ 43.67 a barrel, down marginally by 0.25% from the previous session on Monday. The US light crude West Texas Intermediate (WTI) September delivery futures contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NIMAX) was trading at $ 41.23 a barrel, 0.14% down from the previous session.
