New Delhi: After the steady increase in the prices of petrol and diesel in the country, now there is a relief. Indian oil marketing companies (IOC, HPCL & BPCL) have not made any change in the price of oil on Sunday as well. This is the fifth consecutive day when the prices of petrol and diesel have not increased. Earlier on December 7, the price of petrol was increased by 30-33 paise, while diesel was increased by 25-31 paise.

If seen, the price of petrol and diesel started to fire since the beginning of November. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 2.66 and diesel by Rs 3.50 per litre in about 39 days. Since then there is relief from no increase in their prices. According to the website of Indian Oil, today the price of petrol in the national capital Delhi is 83.71 rupees per litre. Petrol in the financial capital Mumbai is being sold at Rs 90.34 per litre. At the same time, for one litre of petrol in Kolkata, you have to pay 85.19 rupees. While in Chennai, petrol will be available for Rs 86.51 per litre.

If we talk about diesel, then diesel is being sold in Delhi at Rs 73.87 per litre. Diesel is being sold in Mumbai at Rs 80.51 per litre. In Kolkata, you have to pay Rs 77.44 for a litre of diesel. Whereas in Chennai, you have to pay Rs 79.21 for a litre of diesel.
