Woman with petrol in front of police station threatens to commit suicide

Muzaffarpur: A fierce drama took place outside Brahmpura police station in Muzaffarpur on Thursday. There came a woman who had a box full of petrol in her hand. The woman screamed in front of the police station. She was saying that if she did not get justice, she would commit suicide here. The woman alleged that the husband hits her every day and is not paying even the school fees of the children.

According to reports, the woman was about to open the box and sprinkle petrol on herself when the policemen present there quickly stopped her and snatched the box. The woman was then made to sit inside and questioned. The same policemen explained to the woman and the woman expressed her pain. The victim said she has been visiting the police station for five days. But no one has written her complaint yet. The police assured her of appropriate action.

The victim's name is Archana Devi. Archana said she got married 19 years ago. The husband works as a compounder. Both have two children. The victim alleged that her husband, Devar, and others were ending the money by selling the ancestral land. But when asked for money for school fees, they don't pay. When she asks for money, she is beaten up. The woman alleged that the husband had assaulted her five days ago and fled from there. The victim said she has been suffering mentally and physically for the past year.
