Demand for diesel fell 13.7 per cent: Consumption of the most widely used fuel, diesel, declined by 13.7 per cent to 3.16 lakh tonnes during July 1-15, from 3.67 lakh tonnes in the same period last month.

It is usually engaged in demanding diesel in the July-September quarter as compared to April-June.
