This week three big-star bollywood movies including Katrina Kaif’s Phone Bhoot, Janhvi Kapoor’s Mili, Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi’s Double XL hit the theatre screen. However, none of the movies managed to do very well at Box office.
As per Box office report, Katrina Kaif’s starrer is leading the race at the box office. According to media reports, Phone Bhoot has earned 2.50-3.50 crore on the 2nd day of its release. On the first-day Phone Bhoot, Mili and Double XL opened to 2.05 crore, 40-50 lakhs and 10-15 lakhs respectively
Janhvi Kapoor’s Milli got a very low response as it collected 40-50 Lakhs. Meanwhile the other release of the week Double XL garnered 20-30 Lakhs. With the latest numbers, their total collections now stand at 4.55-5.55 crore followed by 1-1.10 crore and 30-45 lakhs. Mili, It is directed by Mathukutty Xavier, Mili is the Hindi remake of the filmmaker's 2019 Malayalam hit Helen. Said to be based on true events, the film traces the struggles of Janhvi as Mili, who races against time to stay alive inside a freezer. According to the actor, a special freezer was built by the film’s team, where they shot for 20 days at minus 15 degrees Celsius temperature.
Out of the three films, only Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer has been leading at the box office and the other two films are striving hard to work. Although even the performance of Phone Bhoot is also not upto the marks.
Phonebhoot is a Horror comedy directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath, Phone Bhoot is produced by Excel Entertainment, headed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. Recently, the release date of the film was changed from October 7 to November 4.
