Pidithalli festival will be organized following COVID norms: District Administration

Vizianagaram: Thousands of devotees from different parts of the district attend the event on the Pidithalli festival and Sirimanu festival. But this year the district administration has planned to organize Pidithalli Utsav and Sirimanu Utsav following strict COVID norms. The Tolelu festival (Annadanam) will be held on 18 October and Sirimanu festival on 19 October.

A review meeting was held to elicit opinions from political parties on the festival in which Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Botcha Satyanarayana and Collector A Suryakumari, MLAs K Veerabhadra Swamy, B Appalanaidu and others participated in one. Bocha suggested the officials to organize the event under strict COVID norms. He said, "We should be vigilant about COVID and everyone should know that the central government has canceled many mass programs in view of COVID.

Even Tirupati Brahmotsavam and Dussehra will be held under strict restrictions," he said. He also reminded the situation in Kerala after the Onam festival was organized in a grand manner and warned the officials that they would not be allowed to go to the state. Do not allow such unwanted situation.The program was attended by M. Deepika Patil, Zilla Parishad President Chinna Srinu and others.
