The Kerala government has demanded that special purpose vehicles (SPVs) be made for the operation and management of the Veemana floor, in which the state government has a large stake.
In a letter to Prashanth Modi, Chief Minister Vijayan has said, 'It was said in the meeting with PM Modi that whenever the decision is taken, the cooperation of the state government in building Trivandrum aircraft ground will be taken into consideration. According to Chief Minister Vijayan, now the decision to give the plane floor to a private company is going to completely break this belief. Criticizing the opposition of the Kerala government, BJP leader and Central Minister V Muralitharan said that the CPM has always been anti-development. It is the effort of the Kerala government to divert the attention of the people from the Kerala gold smuggling case.
