The construction of Tawaghat-Lipulek road to China border will facilitate India-China trade. In the absence of basic facilities, businessmen were being disillusioned with the India-China trade. Due to lack of road, first traders had to travel 45 km from Dharchula to Garbadhar with horse-mules. After walking from the vehicle, one had to start walking on foot with luggage. After this, the traders first walked 10 km from Garbadhar, Malpa to Bundi nine km, Bundi to Gunji 18, Gunji to Kalapani eight, Kalapani to Nabhidhang eight km. And Nabhidhang to Taklakot 25 km. After walking, luggage had to be transported to Taklakot International Market.
After reaching the road from Dharchula to Lipulekh, traders will no longer have to walk. China has reached the road to Lipulek only in the year 2000. Now Chinese businessman is 25 km from China to Taklakot. You can pick up the goods directly from the vehicle. Traders are expected to increase trade after the road is reached. Senior trade assistant Khimanand Bhatt says that the construction of the road will provide relief to the traders. Due to Corona this year, India-China international trade is also under threat.
Business is expected to start this year. SDM Anil Kumar Shukla says that this time the trade will not be done. Imports of Rs 32,61,845 in 2015, exports of Rs 71,62,32,670, imports of Rs 52,15,56 and 19,75 in 2016, Exports of 95,650, imports of Rs 7,34,494 and exports of Rs 87,85,46,050 in the year 2017. In the year 2018, there was an import of Rs 5,34,684 and exports of Rs 87,86,42,560. Many other things including jaggery, sugar candy, grains, carpets, matches, aluminum utensils, bamboo poles, kuttu flour, dry radish. Business is done.
